Message to
DANCE MUSIC DJs

The following message is for professional dance music DJs who use the art of mixing as their craft, who conduct sets or evenings of fluid music of most any type of dance music, for any party, past and/or present and worldwide: experienced experts required. 

1. Each DJ has a unique beginning in their music careers.  Beyond style or technique, success as DJ is about reaching and keeping your audience.  If this hits home, then welcome. It's an honor.  If not, then please lend me your ear, as the intentions here are solely for the music, and therefore to the benefit of the DJ's well being and livelihood.
2. There exists more and more a trend toward incorporating live element to a DJs mixed set, perceived by some as the next natural step toward live musical expression and performance, let alone direction towards music independence and success in this day and age. 
3. Some DJs have already incorporated live musicians into their sets, finding those musicians who have the ear, sensibility and knowledge of dance music arrangements. (In passing, many such musicians are, for the most part, rooted in jazz. Search your local jazz clubs to find them, or better yet, Respect Music will find them for you.  More on that to come.)
